We are now accepting applications!

Free media, organizational, and water policy training for California's water advocates and community leaders!

The training includes a tour of the Delta by bus and boat, dinner on Friday evening, and continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. A limited number of scholarships for travel expenses are available. We are making our best effort for free or discounted accommodations for all attendees.

Some of the training topics include:

A brief history of the State and federal water projects and current planning processes affecting the Delta (Bay Delta Conservation Plan, Delta Plan, State Water Resources Control Board flow objectives)
The situation with endangered fish species and Delta habitat (the point of diversion)
The facts about earthquake risk, sea level rise, and drought
The economics of agriculture and fisheries inside and outside the Delta

Limited spots are available please submit your application as soon as possible. Applications will be reviewed within 1-2 weeks; we will notify you if you are accepted to participate. Check with us regarding scholarships.
