I need your help troubleshooting a problem with my trim tabs. Our 2001 Searay 310 with twin inboards was running fine until yesterday when I noticed a problem getting on plane. I usually apply the tabs(Bennent) to approximately 50-75% extended to get up on plane then retract the tabs once things level out at cruising speed, say 23kts. Yesterday while doing this the boat became unstable, listing to stbrd. I checked the motion of the tabs and the port tab worked normally but the stbrd tab would not extend (fully retracted) There is nothing preventing the motion of the piston that I can see.
