Hi all,
happy to finally be able to not just read all your posts but also reply (don't ask), Thanks Dave (Audry ll) for helping with the membership.
I bought my 440 express last summer and got delivery in Haverstraw August 12th (yes I remember the exact time as well). i saw the first one in Belmar, NJ boat name was "Imagine". I almost bought another Trojan in North Palm Beach with the same name (weird) but the deal fell through. End up buying mine in MI and it was a much better boat. since then I replaced the camper, replaced the carpets in the salon with Vinyl Plank flooring, replaced the stairs with wooden stairs (lots of storage inside) and extended the third bunk room. LOVE the boat, its big comfortable and handle very well.

Nice Royal. Welcome aboard. I think that makes 7 of us now. Was the name of your boat steel my heart or something like that when you bought it?

Good job on the floor and stairs. I am doing a bit of rehab in mine now.

Nice work on the boat. I'd like to do my stairs like that, I'll have to get the specifics from you.

I like that you re-did the third stateroom, I prefer that to the "cubby hole" - it is much more useful to have the extra space to stand up in.

I drove past yesterday and saw your winter cover.

See you on the water in a couple of months!
 
Thank you all. The boats name was Jean Marry or something like that, she was in Harrison Township, MI. Bought it on 08/12/2011.
Tried to find the delete bottom but still trying to get familiar with BoaterEd... Couldn't find it.
Hogan you can come in anytime and view in person, I guess 3 more months? :-)
While I like all the changes I made I really can take credit only to the ideas not the work. My dad is the one who actually does the work.

And yes Hogan just did the winter cover, need a couple of fixes. Love the 3rd stateroom like that. Saw it on your boat pictures :-)

Ditto on the stairs what type of wood? Teak plywood? Also the metal trim for the removable panels where did you get those?
 
if your dad vacations in FL I can offer him some work to keep him off the streets and out of trouble. :D
 
Thanks guys. For The stairs we used pine ply wood, the trim for the hatches I got from NY Metal. It's 3/4 by 3/4 aluminum corner guard. they had it with per made holes for the screws so that helped a lot, save a lot of time. I bought like 120 ft and it was too much. Only about $200 though so much cheaper then any marine metal.
If my dad could move to FL he would yesterday, he is in Israel and not too much boating for him there, he is very talented.
 
Just FYI the top of every step is connected on hinges so it opens up and can be used for storage, can't remember who it was but I saw someone on the forum who did it with draws, very cool.
 
Yes David, it is Allur 7.5 in. X 48 in. Rustic maple19.8 sq. ft. Per case $64.75 a case. I needed 6.5 cases including some that were cut bad and disposed.

Very nice. I'll be putting Allure on the short list when I pull the carpet. Height in Saint Max is a concern. How is it when wet? Is it slick?
 
Not slick at all, it also eliminated the smell I had from the carpets, the kids eat and spill all over the place. you will notice when you get rid of it. Makes a huge deference.
 
I used the Allure as well, although I used the darker shade. Getting rid of the carpet is a great thing to do. No more stains and dirt to scrub out.
