I am not allowed to get another boat but my wife says I can do what I want with our 176 bowrider. Has anyone ever heard of putting one on one of these bowriders? If so are their special brackets?

I read on trailer boat dot com forum and the best thing I can think of it to build a light platform that can be removed that will sit on top of the area where the front cushions normally are. It can be the same height as the bow and that way I am not trashing the boat for future use / sale. Another way is using thrusters that actually attach above the lower unit of the outdrive. These flip up when you are running normal but they start at about $500. For this sie boat you need about 55 punds of thrust which is a 24 volt system.

Thought I would share.
