On the train home now, Tammie said at high tide this afternoon it wasn't even close to the top of the dock. High tonight is at 4am, we'll see what happens then.

Storm??? Things were a bit windy in Lindy, rainy in Smithtown.

The storm hit us at 3:30AM the winds and heavy rain woke me up. It was not much worse than a bad thunderstorm sans the lightning for about 3 hours. The wind has now calmed down and chaged direction from the Southwest to the Northeast. We have had a few 30mph gusts since the storm passed but no steady wind like yesterday. I have a feeling we will be watching a nice sunset tonight.
