I am looking for some input from some of you with more experience with marinas than I have. I recently purchased a slightly used (9 hours, 8mos since orig. purchase) 27' cruiser. It is still under warranty. I was told, of course, that everything was perfect on it. They had even done the 20 hour service, so I was "good to go" until 100 hours. After my first weekend on it, I had a list of issues, a/c did not work, water pressure in head too low, speedo inop, new trailer was not setup for the boat, etc. I returned it to the marina, and was told a week later to come get it. Other than an ordered a/c pump, all was done. When I picked it up, not much was done at all. It has been back to the marina two additional times, and the list is still not completed. After the last time, I noticed that the mid cabin interior lights were not working, although they had been the previous week. I pulled the circuit breaker panel and found that the wire had been unscrewed from the breaker and taped off. I removed the tape and put it back on and all was well.
So now, I am becoming disillousioned with my service dept. What earthly good reason could there be to removing that wire? Why can they not complete the list? Is this normal? Any thoughts?
