We spent Friday night tuna fishing about 84 miles offshore, anchored in 500' of water. We ended up with 8 tuna - 3 yellowfins and 5 longfin (albacore). We were in fog pretty much from when we left my house Friday morning until we got back to the bay Saturday afternoon, but otherwise beautiful, calm conditions to fish.

A few pictures -

Nice fish John! But I would die if I had all that blood on MY boat! :)

So who had Tuna steaks tonight?

Nice catch. I definitely need to buy a bigger boat and get out there!

In case anyone wanted to know johns in the 3rd picture.

He kinda looks like ax murderer doesnt he ???

Rob, yeah, especially with the blood! I was playing the part too, taking care of all the bloody jobs - gaffing the fish, bleeding them, taking the heads off... :)

Barbara, the blood comes off, I have washdown hoses on each side of the cockpit. I think it's easier to deal with than sand is at the beach!

LOL sand at the beach... Thats a pet peeve of mine... Ill travel an extra hr to not have a destination with no sand...

I never tried blood though.... Kids and wife dont get it together soon I may find out ..
