We are docked at Goat Island Marina in Newport. A 54' Sea Ray "Twisted Thoughts", owned by

backed down our fairway this morning and his bow blew into our bow, with quite a crash (apparently, he didn't know how to use his bow thruster). They continued out, saying "don't worry, we'll be back".

They pulled in a couple of hours later and no one even came over to ask if they caused any damage. If it was me, I would have walked over, apologized, asked if I caused any damage, and at least offered a bottle of wine as a "sorry".

What an inconsiderate bastard!
 
What am I missing?
If there was a "quite a crash", how was there no damage? ... Get lucky and they perfectly hit rubrail to rubrail?
 
He probably drives his boat like that all the time and thinks it is normal.

Must have, he pushed us back about a foot.

He owns the tank version of a boat. The Sea Ray probably had some fiberglass damage. I am surprised he did not say you were at fault becuase you were parked there.
 
Geez....what an idiot. "Twisted Thoughts." Hmmmm....what do you think his occupation is?? A Psychologist?

...letting his BAC come down a bit, just in case...
 
Actually, after closer inspection today, there is some damage, so I've filed a report with the marina and will be contacting the owner for payment of repairs.
