I've read the thread on U Line ice makers but didn't see the answer to this question. Mine is oldddddddd.....it stopped working, no fan, no nothing. I took it home plugged it in and it started working. Yes the plug on the boat was working. No idea what happened it just started working. I wanted to turn down the thermostat like Vic suggested, but which way do I turn it....clockwise or counter clockwise to lower it?

How long should it take to cycle? It takes mine about 45 minutes to an hour to run a cycle, one ice drop to another. This seems slow to me.

Thanks for the help.

Turn it all the way counter-clockwise.

40-45 minutes is a typical time for the machine to cycle; 60 minutes is a little long. However, the ambient temperature also comes into play. If it is sealed up in a closed cabin, where the temperature is over 100 degrees most of the time, it will take longer to cycle.

Check and make sure the fan behind the condenser is operational. If it isn't running, or is running slow, it will slow the machine down.

Thanks Vic,

It is in a cabinet on the exterior, temp was in the 90 range and the fan is running what looks to be full speed.

Thanks again....
