I used these oil pan heaters instead of an engine room heater this winter. Engines were warm all winter and so was the engine room.
I just fired up for the first time this year and could not believe how nice it was.
I have kill switches on my fuel solenoids that I use to spin the engine oil pressure up a bit before startup after a long layup. The engines fired on the first spin so I turned on the fuel and started them up. Came up to temp real fast with hardly any smoke compared to last year
Good water circulation, I am a believer.
Now if my shrinkwrap guy will come and take the winter wrap and frame away I can cruise.

I also winter my boat in the water and use a pair of the Wolverine oil pan heaters on a pair CAT motors. Last weekend, after giving things in the ER a quick once over, and opening the seacocks, I hit the starter buttons and each motor started instantly and with zero smoke.

This is my third season with the oil pan heaters, and I love'm
