What engine should I consider when I replace my 1995 4.3LX Vortex Mercruiser this winter? I not necessarily looking for more power. I am interested in reliability, easy installation and compatability with the existing 4bbl weber carb (the carb is fairly new, 50 hrs). Is there an easy engine swap alternative to the 4.3LX? This engine is going into a 1995 Sea Pro 21WA.
The outdrive is in good condition and I don't want to replace that end. Suggestions?
