This winter I am redoing canvas and I want to redo combing pads that are sun beat. AMC does not do upholstery.

Anyone recommend a good local upholstery shop?

Thanks!

I'm having Canvas plus by Javier redo my seat bottoms on the donzi. Have seen a lot of his work and looks excellent

ABC Upholstery in Amytiville. Quality work, reasonable prices, great service, great reputation. What more could you want? Right next door to Amity Harbor Marine on Montauk Highway. Hy

combine both in your project to get the best price, PS talk to rick in our place, he did that

Dave, Mickeys across the street from AMC. Great work reasonable pricing and always on time. Infact AMC recommends Mickey

Thanks, Tony from AMC was actually recommending someone who worked for Don Frost, I think. Said everyone knows this Frost guy but I didn't! LOL! He was gonna get me the #.
No rush.
It's a winter project.
I guess I can remove the pads and just bring to a shop, save the cost of the install.

I can't combine becuase I want to use AMC for Canvas and they don't do vinyl work. I refuse to use any other canvas shop. I have never once had a issue with AMC and I stick with them. Tried once to get Trevor from True Blue in AYC and he jerked me around. I think he does vinyl though.

I used Mickey's once for a convertible top once. It came out nice. I don't know about boat seats though.

I used Mickey's years ago for seats and they also came out nice.

'Interiors by Don Frost', used to be in Bay Shore. I had him make some new cushions for my previous boat, was highly recommended and did really nice work. That had to be 15 years ago though.

My bolsters are shot. Let me know what u do Dave .

Did u ask DEAN FORM WAVES AND WHEELS ?

: O

Rob

Do you have their number?
Just kidding.
They don't do vinyl work I am sure.

Not doing anything till winter, will pull them off myself and bring in.

Used Mickey's 3 years ago for cockpit seats and bolsters. Great job, reasonable price. Started job in October ready for spring install. AMC recommended.

I used Automat in Hicksville for two small seat inserts and a 2.5x3.5 cushion and the backrest about 1x5. They said if the foam were ok it would be cheaper and they sewed in the Sea Ray logo, they duplicated the original perfectly, all this for about $750.

Hey Dave. That would be me. I worked for Don Frost for many years. Don passed away years ago, so I've decided to open my own business.
My name is out there if you want to ask around.
Give me a call if you're still interested.

Daryll,
Thanks for the response. I will be calling you when boat comes out on the hard in a couple of weeks.
Do you have a shop? If you want to stop by boat and look it is in the Anchorage in Lindenhurst.

Dave

I don't have a shop yet. I'm working out of my garage until i get a bigger clientele.
I live out in Shirley. I was just at the anchorage yesterday picking up a job. Wish I posted here sooner. I could have taken a look then. I will be back there in a week or so to deliver the current job.
Most of my work comes from the Babylon, Lindenhurst, copaigue area, so I'm always out that way.

See Chris at B&R in Freeport, he just opened a satellite shop in Hampton Bays. He does great work! He has done work for me for 15 years- mooring covers, bimini enclosure with glass, a center console cover and new teak accent pieces, stainless mounts for flood lights, and general repairs on my canvas.... I've never been disappointed with his work and he's a good guy. Also, this summer I had him make me up a boot for my bimini top.

Ok, when your back in Anchorage, come by and look and quote me. If I am around we can chat.
I am in slip D60.
I want to re-upholster in the same color the combing pads that go around the cockpit.
Boat name is CurrentSea.
I will be coming out on 10/25, so after that date, I will probably be over on S dock.

Thanks.

Sounds good Dave. Give me a call so we can go over the details.
