Found this on FB. Not sure where it happened, looks like Fl by the trees. Looks pretty real, don’t think it s AI. Operator fell overboard and skiff rammed that Dancer

Agreed,. Look like FL. In addition to a couple pamettos, there are a few coconut palms in the pic. If it's the U.S. mainland, it has to be FL. South FL is only place the in the U.S. mainland that coconut palms grow. Gets too cold in SoCal. ..... And yes, wear the lanyard on the small boats.

Edit. Apparently there is small scattering of coconut palms in a few pockets of southernmost South Padre Island, TX. But this looks nothing like that area.
 
It's AI, as are most things on Facebook these days. That's a lot of damage for a little boat to cause. And look at the bow sticking up in the air -- not a scratch. :)
 
I came to the conclusion that searays were made cheaply years ago. It makes me want to believe the photo is real. :ROFLMAO:

That looks real enough to me, although obviously the photo alone does not tell the whole story. The amount of structural damage is pretty wild.


If the operator really went overboard while the boat was still moving, it is a good reminder of why a properly used kill switch matters so much. An unmanned boat at speed can do an incredible amount of damage in a very short time.


I would be curious to see the actual incident report because there has to be quite a story behind this one.
