Can anyone help my husband and I with a question about v-drives? We have always had stern drives and we just bought a used 1990 Carver Montego 3557. It has the 454 Crusader engines and Velvet V-drives. How do we adjust the "flux, flex, flax," area? I was told that the drip with the two nuts should be about one every 30 seconds. We tried to adjust them, really not knowing which way to go and also are we doing this right, that they should or can be adjusted in the water? How do we chnage the material inside?
