Hi all,
Sorry if this is a repost of mine - I honestly can't recall if I've asked this question before.
My gal and I are hoping to pull together a 4-8 day trip in March for her birthday. She's a hugely adventurous person, expert sailor, and up for anything outdoors. I can (usually) keep up with her. What we need to find is a place with the following criteria (suitcases will contain only bathing suits, sandals, t-shirts and all by sandals are optional):
* International - not continental US (except maybe the Keys)
* Hot and sunny, beach, warm water
* Non-commercial type of feel (no mega-resorts)
* Interesting local scene - people, food, music, day-trips, etc.
* Could be tiki hut, modest cabin, small resort, or even island camping for lodging
* Snorkeling or resort diving would be cool
Somebody told us Belize - or something like that - would be perfect.
Any input here - especially first-person accounts - would be greatly apppreciated.
Thanks !!!
