Vacation plans (help please)

Norwalk is about 1:45 minutes cruise from Liberty in my boat doing 26 knots to the no wake zone in Norwalk. FYI

Fun place to go as well. Pool is great, restaurant there is good as well, and who can turn down a good round of mini golf!!!

I can't cruise at 26 knots but close enough, lets not forget dinner at Wasabi I was there for there opening night (just by chance) and been back every year since I hope they are still open.

I've never been to Norwalk...what place are you guys talking about with the pool?

I called today and made sure they can fit me in for the weekend.

I'll bet they have plenty of room.

Not so I tried to get in on my last trip and I couldn't. I asked this time if there would be room for a friend and I was told I would have to call when it gets a little closer to the date. Keep in mind the date is two weeks away. They have rented every ship so the only open slip are members traveling. Same thing at Channel club I think they have one slip for a 40+ footer anything else would be a vacated slip.

Being so many boaters aren't traveling this year at doesn't help finding transient slips in packed marinas.

Like Dave said, Norwalk Cove is sold out with a waiting list for the larger slips. Hard to get in there if no one is leaving for the weekend.

Wow! We used to have no trouble getting into Norwalk Cove Marina as a transient back about 10 years ago. Times have changed I guess...

Just a guess but I think less people are leaving the dock so there is less room for transients.

Try City Island.
Closer than Norwalk. Plenty of restaurants.
Great anchorage just a bit North between the Bronx and Pelham.
