Vacuflush lost vacuum, hoses are tight...

Sounds like a vacuum generator type where the pump is mounted on the vacuum tank. If so, check the uniseal where the inlet hose enters the vacuum tank thru an elbow. If you've been messing around down there you may have loosened the elbow at the uniseal. This is a very common place to loose vacuum even with new duckbills. In fact, if you are going to replace the duckbills, replace the elbow and uniseal at the same time. It is very hard to move the pump back to replace the inside duckbills without moving the tank, thus moving the inlet elbow. This will break the uniseal.
I just re read this whole thing. Sounds like you have separate pumps not attached to the cylindrical tanks. If so, you don't have a uniseal and and your problem is probably just duckbills. If you have a vacuum generator where the pump is right on top of the rectangular tank, it is a vacuum generator. I should read better.

I am home now. I need a rebuild kit for the aft
toilet and at least duck bills for the front unit.
They are add-ons...1987 Tolly, units were manuf. in 1991-92.
I tried to twist around the back unit when my back reminded what Social Security said..."100% disabled". I should have listened.
I have been on morphine and other opiates for about 2 years now. Anyone familiar with the side effects can figure out why I have to find a plan B. I think we will have to sell the boat if I can't use the bathroom on it. I may try a post about installing the head right above the holding tank, like on an RV. Put a 6" pipe in..
ok, kidding, but a 3" or 4" PVC pipe...like on a motorhome. Why don't we do that? Or do some boats try the simple approach.
