Vacuflush pressure switch

I replaced a bellows and duck valves on my vacuflush generator. When I turned the unit on it will not stop running. I get good pressure at the toilet and it seals after letting go of the pedal. The pressure switch when I manually push the spring in shuts the motor off. I think my problem is in the spring part of the unit. Is there a way to test this spring before I spend $130. Or am I off track and there is something I'm missing

You say it has good "pressure" (it's really vacuum you're dealing with) but have you checked it with a vacuum gauge? I really doubt the spring has gone bad.
 
I don't have a vacuum gauge. How much is one of them?
Maybe my bellows installation is not sealing.

The bellows are rarely the issue, unless they are old and crack.

First thing would be to listen for a vac leak around the pump. I ve had an issue on one of ours where the seal between th pick up tube and the pump leaks. You can hear it right away,

Otherwise Chances are your DB are twisted and don't seal open them up, make sure the flanges are clean and put on some soap on the flange before installing. Do not overtighten them as they will distord.
 
Now that you mention it I did torque down on the pipe thread. I'll check them later.

The new duck bills all seem to be ok. I cleaned the incoming connection and finally got it to hold, but only for a few seconds. I hear a gurgle and then the pump starts up again. To be able to hear a gurgle, does that mean I have a leak in the tank?

Funny thing is we want to get c-heads, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I pulled the generator out and am bringing it to Northeast tomorrow. My luck it will be a hose problem created by taking the unit out to clean.

You can use shaving cream to find a vacuum leak.
 
I brought the generator over to North East Sanitation in Farmingdale. The bench check showed a leak. It ended up having a crack in the piece that holds the scoop into the tank. Apparently I should not have brought the unit outside in the middle of this icebox February and left it in my van. I should have known better.
