Vacuflush pump noise

I have a vacuflush system and noticed today that it was making a 'whump whump whump' noise. It did this continuously until I switched off the head at the panel. This sound was coming from near the holding tank. The head seems to work correctly, but this noise is new and I don't like it. I only tested the head one more time before I had to leave the boat, so I didn't have time to make extensive tests. I posted in another thread that sounded like the original poster had a similar problem, but I don't know if it will be seen or if in fact it was the same problem, so I'm posting a new thread.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me!

i have three VF... sounds varies... sometimes some of them make a clack noise, sometimes they done... try flushing a head full of water to flush everything, there might be something caught in the bellows.

If it's coming from around the pump check that all bolts are in place and tight. A loose bolt on the pump can cause it to shake and make a thumping like noise. If that bolt works its' way into the bellows it can tear it.
