I have a leak in the supply side of my water system that causes the pump to lose prime, and results in air coming through the faucets. I can detect no leaks of water and can hear no air movement. All connections are tight. It takes about a day for the pump to lose prime, so it can't be a big leak. Any ideas on how to identify the source?

Could well be a bad check valve. There should be one between the pump and the tank somewhere.

Had same problem a summer or two ago. Finally found a crack right under the hose clamp at the pump inlet. Drove me nuts, It was really hard to see, even with the clamp and hose removed from the pump. Cut of an inch of hose at the pump end, and my problem was solved.
