Vapor lock in 350 MAG?

I have a 98 240LS Stingray with the 350 Mag Mercruiser. After pulling skiers or running the boat at high power settings we will stop and when we try to restart the engine it will not start. It appears to be starving for fuel. There are not any diagnostic codes that point to a component and the fuel pump comes on with the key. It happened again today and after trying to restart for quite a while, I poured ice water on the fuel risers at the injectors. The engine restarted. Is it possible to have vapor lock on an efi engine? If so, what are some remedies?
