VC 17 -how long between

Two seasons ago I had VC 17 applied to my powerboat. I have heard a number of thoughts on how often to recoat. Last year I did the "smile line" only. Is it time to do an entire recoat? It sits for 5 months in the Grand River - not really very clean.

re-coat every two-three years and touch up in between

I throw a coat on every one or two seasons. If you don't see it wearing away, don't bother with a coat.
