Vent Caps

Some a*#hole stole my gas tank and water tank vent caps. All that is left is a black plastic threaded hole sticking out of my hull. Anyone know where I can get replacements? I have a 1997 350 Mariner. I've been told they are probably Attwood thru-hull vents - I'd like to confirm that too, if anyone knows. I've been told I have to buy the whole thru-hull unit just to get the cap - but didn't like the sound of that because it would be just my luck they've changed and I'd have to get to the inside of the fitting - not to mention it would probably be a different size hole now )

Yes, they are Attwood. I just replaces 4 of mine. You can buy them in black at several places, including West Marine for like $5 or $10, can't remember. I ordered them in stainless from a Carver dealer. I think they were about $15 each. They will thread right into the hull where the jerk stole them from you. Good luck.

A few years back I contacted Attwood to get new vent caps that had dried up & cracked. While on their website I noticed they showed SS caps but didn't show price. Called customer service for price & they sent 6 to me at "NO" charge !
