ventalation of the bildge ( forward )

I'm getting a good deal of bildge smell travling into the foward areas of my boat.
I believe this is due to lack of ventalation.
I am looking into using a 2-speed ventalation fan to pull air from the forward bildge to create a negative condition drawing fresh air from the cabin down through the bildge and out.

The out is my question. Would it be legal to vent this air to the rear ( sealed ) bildge through a bulkhead fitting ?

"out" meaning into the atmosphere, or in to the bilge/engine area?

well I would like to pump the air into the engine bilge area and then it would naturally flow out the passive vents. I'm guessing no way becasue the 12v 2-speed is not spark protected.

I will have to run a duct to an vent to outside?

sure clean the bilge, but still the boat would benifit from this treatment from a moisture perspective ? dont you think ?
