I tell you, AMC is the place for all your canvas needs.
Tony means customer service.

So I had my windshield replaced (another story). Done under warranty but they didn't do the snaps to hold the canvas.

I called AMC but Tony was on vacation and I wanted to get it done. Frank was there but was busy. This was last Thursday. So I figured let me try True Blue Canvas in the AYC. Trevor says he will get to it Friday. Friday comes, I call him, he says Saturday. I walk in his office Saturday and he says he will come over and look at it. So he follows me over and says he will be back at 1:00. 1:00 comes and goes. I finally throw in the towel, call AMC and Tony is back! He says he will do it Monday first thing.

Just got a call and it's mostly done! Some snaps need to be moved on canvas.

AMC is my only canvas shop now!

Wonder what would happen if u were dealing with Frank and not Tony.

There both good guys..........I've dealt with them both !!!!

Go there break bread, make friends... a lot of us have been using them for years.

They were great for me last month too.
I might have them do 1 or 2 other small things in the Fall.

Radiowaves,If I cant get them to even call me back before the job. What happens if I have a problem after the install and they have my money already. Anyway glad you guys are happy with work.

AMC Do great work.On Monday August 8, I went to see Frank to have a Bimini made and full en-closer.Told him I was starting my two week vacation Saturday and asked if he could make it buy Sunday. Tuesday He came to my boat to measure it.Friday he was done. After having only a convertible top for 17 years.I feel like I have a new boat.

Again I say Great work.

They made a mooring cover for me last year. They finished the job right on time for a very reasonable price. Workmanship was damn near perfect. Also have had them do minor repair work, restichting and replacing zipper, on camper back. Again, they did the job quickly - by the next day- and very well. I would never use anyone else.

Rich(bone534),
Seems odd everyone finds the turn around so quick and service so good and you don't. I agree with Brad, go in the shop and meet them. Perhaps they have a wrong number for you or wrote it down wrong. Perhaps your message got garbled if on cell or you left it with one of the workers in the back (who I admit, don't take messages well). I work with Tony, others work with Frank. We all like them. I was hesitant to work with Frank becuase I know Tony takes care of me. My first job I walked into the shop. I met Tony. I had my old sunpad with me. We talked about what he could do, how he would do it, etc. In 3 days, he called and said it's ready but he would need to go to boat to align the snaps on the deck. I told him where it was. He did it and left the pad, still no money out of my pocket. I saw it. I loved it. I drove to his shop, paid him! Service and trust. That is the way to do business. We all know people when we meet them and see them, but on the phone, you can't tell.

If you read my post I had an experience with Trevor at True Blue similiar to yours with AMC. Wasn't till I walked in his shop that he agreed to come to my boat, but even then, I still wasn't crazy about his attitude towards the job and it showed as he never showed up. When I called Tony he immediately gave me a time and told me the issues associated with my stainless windshield. He kept his time commitiment and did the job!

Guys looks like they do nice work. I will try your advice but 3 times and i'm out.

I suggest ......call first be sure they are in......go in person....discuss what you need done....

I have used Tony a number of times for a number of projects, the one thing about Tony is you can bank on what he tells you. He does it when he says he will, does not BS, and is truly a caring guy. I own my own business and this is how I treat my customers, IMHO, this basic 101 business philosophy is becoming rarer and rarer. Tony also stands behind his work, if there is a problem, he addresses it quickly and resolves it. Tony also does not nickel and dime you to death, he has done a lot of work on the cuff for me, he is smart and builds good will.
As far as the quality of the work, IMO, for the prices he charges he is a great value, is he the best guy out there, IMO, no. But with that said I will always use Tony because of his work ethic and the quality he provides is good enough for me and those that know me know I am pretty demanding.
