I need a new fixed mount VHF radio. I have limited dash space so I want install a black box VHF with DSC. The radios advertised state that they will show a the position of a vessel in distress on the GPS if it is their brand GPS. I have a Raymarine C-70 GPS. Do I have to get the expensive Raymarine black box radio or will any brand DSC black box radio show the position of a vessel in distress on my GPS?
Thanx,
Lightnin
