I have a fairly recently occuring problem with my V/P 270 outdrive in that it will not drop down from the raised position unless you give the ignition a very quick crank. I know it's not good to start the engine with the outdrive raised so I am very careful to only turn the ignition key enough so the engine barely cranks (but does not start). Once I do this, the outdrive will tilt down. I am not aware of any relationships between the tilt motor and the ignition, so this has me puzzled.
