I have a 262 cruiser with a 5.0 GL Volvo engine. The outdrive is a dual prop. I was on the water last weekend and then all of a sudden the RPM's started to fall. I saw white smoke coming out of the back. I shut down and when I tried to restart I heard a loud bang. The mechanic got back to and gave me the bad news. The valves are filled with water. The loud bang was the flywheel bent. He said th starter is probably damaged. They will know more in a couple of days. Does anyone have any ieas, or a idea where I can find a good used engine. I would like a 5.7 EFI if possible. I can be reached via mail. lb8241**aol.com. Also should this happen to a 99 with about 300 hours. Do I have a claim with Volvo.
