The boat is a 2011 Chaparral with a VP DPS-A OXI outdrive. Outdrive was completely rebuilt by All American Drives last fall.

Put the boat in the water for the first time since the rebuild and within 5 or 10 minutes started the boat and almost immediately saw a red triangle alert at the helm. Bought a Diacom to read the code and it was a 713 which translates to water in the gear oil. The OXI option provides a few sensors in the outdrive. Sensors for low gear oil, water in gear oil, water in bellows.

Given the outdrive was just professionally rebuilt and was only in the water for 5 or 10 minutes I doubt there is really water in the gear oil. No oil sheen on water.

I was reading maybe I need to reset the Ocean-X module when major work is done on the outdrive and/or changed the gear oil.

In doing some reading it seems I need to reset the Ocean-X system on the outdrive. Has anyone needed to do this?
