It was on the science channel this AM.
It's a Duo-prop, stern drive, that pulls, instead of pushing.
The Exhause is out the back of the prop drive, way underwater.
The performance was demonstrated against a similar boat of larger HP, but an inboard/rudder, normal stuff.
The New "thing" out accelerated. Even with 200 less HP.
The New "Thing" turned two circles within the radius of the of the Inboard with rudder.
It sure looks good.
I worried about the obvious kind of stuff. The props have nothing to protect them. If you hit a log or a rock, the props and the new drive are going to be first on the scene.
The Cost is not bad for some of you guys.
$300K to $600K for a unit.
But the movie certainly made a good case for this kind of propulsion.
