I am supposed to pick up a new left over 2005 maxum 2400sc tomorrow and get a call from the dealer stating that an "imperfection" in the gel coat by the windshield was found during his walk through. I do not know the extent of this stress crack or imperfection or line as it is called yet. I know stress cracks are normal but at the windshield area i expect this to return even after fixed. The thing I worry about is that is was cause by a hit or something else and may be more extensive.
He offered to fix it and delay pickup or I take it and he will fix it at the first break in / alignment service and comp that service also (about $250 per dealer). I have a check from my bank that is effectively a loan with no item and apayment due next month with no item.
The dealer is riverside marine in whitemarsh and they do not have a stellar reputation for taking care of items or customers.
What should I look for tomorrow?
