Anyone know how long the docks stay in in Warren (down at the end, just on the bay side of the yacht club)? Tried a new reataurant there today (Trafford - 285 Water Street) and thought that it might make a decent fall destination. Thanks in advance...

River... you were in my back yard! I keep my boat at the yacht club in season. Heard Trafford was pretty good. I store my boat over the winter at oconells right next door to that restaurant. He has transient slips but it ain't facy. Since he also offers in water storage the docks are in all year. Guys name is Pat. Very nice. Here's the website: http://www.oconnellswarrenmillmarina.com/
Just up the river from the restaurant are the Warren town docks. You would have to contact the Warren Harbormaster on those but I think they are in year around as well. The Barrington Yachtclub also offers transient slips and moorings if you are a member of another yacht club. But the Warren side is more convenient to more stuff. If your are in the neighborhood, Bristol is also a good destination. And be sure to give a hollar if you're coming by!

Wish I had known earlier - you could have joined us. Davey Morris from 92PROfm brought me over there to show me the waterfront and drinks scotch... And talk about a double small world - was doing some ham radio stuff today and talked with the guy who owns "Cythera," a 33-foot Cali sailboat moored up at the yacht club. They were all complaining about the tides/current thru there but I hit it at flood tide and it didn't look too bad. Have to drive down that way in the next couple of weeks si I'll give you a shout. And thanks for the O;Connell's info!

Lol, I know Cythera and the owner. Super nice guy. The current is a bitch. I can only dock in my slip at slack or outgoing tides. Incoming is too much to handle. Best tide all depends on where exactly the slip is. And you can tell Davey we listen to him regularly!
