Googled DC marinas

Saw Washington Marina, Gangplank, and James Creek.

Asking for recommendation of which marina would be best suited for entertaing some guests this summer, 3 nights worth. My Plan is to bring 10-20 people each night, go for a cruise, then call it a night.

Would like the cleanest, best lit marina to downtown.

Thanks.

How about Old Dominion Boat Club if you are currently a yacht club member. Puts you right on the Old Town Alexandria Va waterfront, plenty of restaurants, pubs, shops and parking - well lit and pedestrian friendly - and within a short boat ride to view the DC skyline and monuments and anchor out above Key Bridge near Georgetown University. There is also a city dock adjacent to the Boat Club that you may get a slip at for a few days.

I was down there last week but could only see what looked like a ship pier. Did not see any slips for rec boaters. Looked at the web site and it says:

"National Harbor's marina is a perennial favorite among the boating and non-boating community alike."

It must be really really really nice to be a perennial favorite since it is not even open yet. And probably not built yet either. Can't wait for it to be built so I can go there though. I go to Alexandria a lot.
