I know 2 boats in our group so far is on D land... I think one is in D16, and another down in the low 20's... Look for a big pirates chest on the back. We have about 7 boats comming if they can get in. Radio Waves will be in C11. See you there.

Well spent the weekend at watch hill and I did get Walter there for the weekend. And guess what he was docked on D dock with about 8 silvertons. Seems to be the boat this weekend. Couple of Rays, but alot of silvers. I think he had a good time and he will reverse his opinions of watch hill, though i will agree the restaurant service needs some work. They are trying though. Mosquitos were not there yet at all.

It was a fun time, meet Brad and his wife (Radiowaves), meet some people in my marina, meet a good customer of mine. I get it, it's not the place, but the people you hang with. Also, the place is pretty nice, its a keeper.

Hey, Rob, Don, where were you guys?

Walter

A spectacular weekend it was, a good amount of sun with a nice breeze and no bugs to mention. My boat was blessed with an abundance of drinks and snacks with some very pretty young woman visiting throughout the day. We had a great BBQ with friends and also friends of friends.

Got a chance to meet and hang with Dave and Walter at various times. Gizmo and Fendie, the designer dogs…. had a fun time romping on the overlook deck near the bay.

Walter, you sure picked about a 10 for a weekend trip to Watch Hill.

Hey don u still broken.....

LUCY U GOT SOME SPLAINING TO DO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob

Rob.......... That part still works great.......

Im gettin better..........thanks.

I'm heading to Watch Hill this weekend, planning to get there Wednesday evening to make sure I get a slip. We have some friends coming out Saturday on the ferry and maybe a couple other boats also. If anyone will be there I should be somewhere on 'D' dock.

It seems that Watch Hill is the new happening place since TJ's closed down. Can this be? It really is a nice place if the bugs stay away. Hey Big 'D', how ya doin' buddy?

As I said earlier in the thread.....

Watch hill stinks, everyone stay away!!!

What are your thoughts on the 4th weekend. Busy before the 4th or after the 4th? I'm hoping to go over on Saturday the 30th and get a spot, not sure if it will be like a normal 4th weekend when you need to get there on Weds or Thurs.

Interesting question, if I were to guess, I would say the weekend after would be busy. This is because if we were taking a few days off, my wife and I would have a great time on the 4th watching the fireworks, then not wanting to go to work the next day and head to WH to beat the weekend rush.

I actually think if the weather is nice that whole week will be busy, but people will probably be coming and going so you may be able to get in especially with a narrower beam. I'm just going to stay away that week.

OJ, TJs was only around a few years, many of us have been going to Watch Hill for a long time, so I wouldn't really consider it the 'new happening place'. I remember 10+ years ago being 25th on the waiting list to get in and I had a 26' boat with a 8'6" beam. I think the popularity has been increasing again as they've fixed it up, restaurant re-opened, etc. The other issue as far as getting slips is that the place was built back when boats were much smaller, so now with all the bigger, wider boats around getting in has become increasingly difficult.

Has anyone gone over to WH.....just to go to the resturant yet ??........ What's the widest beam of the new slips on the " T " ??

Got my reservation, slip D16. The guy said there's only one boat in the marina so far, I guess I probably didn't need the reservation.

No, I'm going tonight after work and staying until Sunday. You can't reserve in advance unless you have a group of 20 or more boats and it's 'off peak' season.
