Watch Hill

I decided to call and make a reservation and come tonight. It's supposed to be foggy in the morning and low tide and I'm afraid if I wait till later and try to call I won't get a slip with the right power since there are so few and the weekend forecast looks good. I have D11. I'll probably get there pretty late.

John

Ok, call my cell if you need anything. 631-897-9318.
We will keep a eye out for you.
I checked and D dock is over half full with reservations, but I suspect some people may sneak in after 9 because then you don't have to pay.
It's only $1.00 a foot tonight and tommorrow.

The fish traps are out and there are 2 strings cutting the North Channel at 2 spots, so watch out for them.
Gonna be dark tonight as I think there is no moon.
I think they were around Red "4"

Thanks. Yep, D15 and D16 where I usually go are already booked. When I first spoke to the guy I thought he was going to tell me there was nothing left, but I think he was trying to get it as close to my beam as possible and save the wider slips. The problem is with the 50/220 power on my boat there are only 10 slips I can use if I want to plug in. BTW, I noticed the website now says reservations are good till 10pm, used to be 9, right?

Thanks, I'll keep an out for the traps, I'll probably have the bay pretty much to myself on a Weds night this early in the season so will use the spotlight if necessary.

Now I have to do a mad scramble to get everything ready, thought I had all night!

Yeah, guy in 15 does not need 240, guy in 16 does not need 240.
D15 only has 1 phase, I have to tell them in the morning as he left.
Still slips, no rush.

Yes, it's 10 now but not sure how you know. So if you come over at 9 then how do you know what slips are reserved.

Wouldnt it be easier if you guys picked up the phone to do this? lol

So Richie corrected me on my off base post . He states poles were moved out away from the dock on d dock . He also stated slips were adj on d as well !

Rob

Were they all moved out or some of them? I was in D11 and that was the slip where it transitioned from the further out poles to the closer ones and I had to poles on the west side. Couldn't remember if that was always the case or only the first 6 or so used to be like that.

Nice trip, great to see everyone. You all missed the nicest day though, Monday was beautiful and by afternoon I pretty much had D dock to myself!

John

My sister took this shot as she left on the 6:15 ferry Monday evening, big change from the weekend!

The nats or no seeums were terrible in Lindenhurst, especially end of day. How was Watch Hill?

Watch Hill had nats at the end of the day but honestly I think they were worse in my backyard in Lindenhurst when I got home Monday evening!

Does Brian's boat (bmac) move?
That is like the exact picture except for John's boat on last Wednesday morning when I arrived!

LOL, Dave it depends on who u ask. Brain says of course !

Rob

Well of course it moves...though I often am first in and last out at WH. I was already untied except for the last stern line in that pic, just waiting for the ferry to clear out. You can see me at the helm. It took me till that late on Monday to dry out from Sunday night. It was a great weekend...good to see you guys

Oh, I thought I saw you at the helm, but I thought you were passed out sleeping in the captain's chair hugging a chum bucket!!

Good seeing everyone.

Good weekend and great to see everyone!!!

Rob,
You boat looked pristine, what a shine on her, did you wax her ?
