I still have my skiff in the water and have been running around from Babylon to Oakdale. I have never seen the bay clearer. I was off Bay Shore in about 9 feet and clearly saw the bottom. My canal is the same. Crystal clear looking down to about 7 feet. Don't know why but I have never seen the bay this clear.

I have noticed that also and when my boat came out there wasn't much growth on the bottom or the drives. Maybe we didn't have a lot of rain this summer? Less rain equals less runoff.
