Quick question...
I want to move my water pump for the water system pressure a couple of feet, and rotate it 90 degrees (change from horizontal to a vertical orientation). I believe it is a Jabsco pump (but not certain). Provided I am smart enough to mount the electrical side ABOVE the water inlet/outlet sides, would you see any issue with this?

Nope, should be OK, just position it so that the pump head is pointing down and the motor pointing up. That way, water can't get into the motor if the pump shaft seal were to fail.

well.. if you have a shurflo extreme that's what they say... motor up.

that's fine except that there is no drain in the housing so even motor up, if you get a leak, it will fill the space behind the diaphragmr and the pressure will allow the motor to fill. and yes, it will run for a while that way!

i talked to a shurflo engineer after 2 replacement and he agreed it woudl be a good idea to drill a hole in pump nr 3. Just in case.
