I am going to be replacing the water pump in my Alpha gen2 outdrive. There are 2 different kits, one with he housing, and one without. Obviously, I would choose the one with the housing, as long as I am in there, but the price difference is huge (3X). So my question is, do the pump housings usually need replacing?
