Water spots

Are they water spots or is the plastic etched? If they are spots first try cleaning with a solution of white vinegar in clean water with a soft, clean rag like a new microfiber towel. Try using about 1:1 vinegar to water, then rinse very well and dry with another clean, dry rag. Avoid paper towels on plastic surfaces - they tend to scratch most plastics. If that doesn't do it then the "spots" are probably etched into the surface. For that try Meguiar's PlastX - available at a good auto parts store. If that doesn't work then more aggressive polishing will be required. It's a bit tricky on plastics but can be done with care and the right products.
I've had good luck using WD 40 and a soft cloth. Spray it on the hatch and polish until there is no more haze. Heps prevent future spotting too.
To prevent spotting in the future, always dry the plastic with a soft towel. Never let the water air dry on the surface.

If your hatches are glass, no problem. But, if they are plastic take it easy with the WD-40. I have seen major cracking in substantial plastic parts as a result of WD-40. In one case I saw new auto instrument panels crack badly when the molder tried using WD-40 as a mold release. Depending on the plastic, it can be very aggressive and lead to solvent stress cracking.
