Water Tank Monitor

I really need to install a water tank level monitor in my chaparral. I would like to hear any feedback on the two different systems I have seen out there. One is the foil that attaches to the outside of the tank and the other is the sending unit installed inside the tank. I would prefer to go with the foil system since it seems to be the easiest. Your thoughts are appreciated
