Hey guys and gals, we have been given a forum here by Les...Lets use it, or we may stand to lose it to the Lake Lanier Guys...I wouldn't like that , because they don't even have water in their lake...

Here in Lake Erie's central basin we are launching May 1st and 2nd, when is everyone else going in? I am closing in on being ready!! Carver, when are you Ontario guys going in?

Niles

Wayne,

Where's the water??? I track river levels from year to year, and I'm showing we're 2 feet below the same time last year. Could be a good year to stay in the channel.

Dave

I am painting the bottom 4/24 and launching on 5/1.

We have new floating docks so pretty exciting.

I am way way behind schedule...I am usually in by now...I have a truck booked for May 15 to take me to the Marina..
I store my boat at home and not at the Marina for the winter...I feel safer that way...

I hear you about the water levels...I have no idea why they are playing games with water levels...It seems that every year they drop us way down...Maybe they are expecting a heavy snow load to fill things back up in the spring, but it didn't happen...

Hoping to be in the second week of May if my Canvas is done and I get my a55 moving on the other projects!

Jim

We're ready to go. Just waiting for the marina to give the ok (some pilings need to be re-driven first). Hope to be in within the next week or two, which would put us in a couple of weeks ahead of prior years.

Can't wait.

If anyone has any spare time, they could come and touch up my OD with some paint...and maybe apply a bit of polish, and wax, and ...well you know...Everything that I should have done by now...but don't...

Going in on the South shore of Lake O ntarion this weekend.

We have a trip scheduled to Sacketts and alex bay for Memorial day and the week after.

We should keep this forum open, so, nice thread.

I put in on 5/1 in Port Washington, WI and I don't think the wind has dimished to under 15MPH!

I am happy to report though that cigars are much tastier smoked on a dock with the wind and birds.

Boat is already for a wash but I am just enjoying being in the water.

Hope evryone gets into to there slip soon, weather be darned.

Even though there was a horrible forecast for last Sunday (5/2) we were able to finish our club. We use a crane and the last few boats including mine had to be dropped over the side right into the face of some really stiff winds. It always feels good to successfully get that first windy docking under your belt. :)

Had a new Bennetti 85 in the Port Washington marina tonight heading nfor homeport of Chicago named Cuff Link.
Beatiful vessel did not have a camera, sorry
Owner just took delivery and had a sporty time docking in very gusty wind.
