Weather Opinions for this Weekend - Long Island

Suppose to leave this Friday from South Shore Long Island to Channel Club in Monmmouth Beach, NJ.

Weather looks like it will be fine.

The quesiton is the ocean conditions with that hurricane offshore.

We can stay inside most of the way until East Rockaway.

What do all the other Captain's think?
 
You might have a swell but conditions will be fine otherwise inshore.
 
Sure. Let me ask you a question. So channel looks easy coming from Sandy hook.
When I get to Sedge Island, I go South with sedge island on my right?
Seems like no channel there?
Any advice?

Also the bridge opens on 1/2 hour and hour, we just wait? Is it prompt?
 
I'm seeing high surf and small craft warnings for most of the east coast north of mid-Atlantic to Cape Cod through Thursday evening and then settling down come Friday...probably worth keeping an eye on it for another day or two!

Looks like you will be OK starting early Friday, but best keeping an eye on it.

You have to prompt them, let them know you need an opening. Call a few minutes before the time.

Watching the Braves/Mets game last night, the wind was holding the flag straight out by the 4th inning.
Looks like Sailboat weather for today.

Might be leaving today.
One boat in our 4 boats needs to leave today so we may all go so he does not cruise alone.
 
I drove by again but no one was around. We are heading back in the morning, it has been a great weekend very happy we chose to come!
 
Lol. You need to check the tiki bar. We were on c dock last night talking to all your other Hudson boys.
