My brother and I put in on Friday night at Vieira's. They had 40-50 mph winds that morning and we were a little worried about our weekend boating. Light breeze Friday night and absolutely gorgeous weather Sat and Sunday. Cruised down to Disappointment Slough on Sat, back up the San Joaquin to Cache and Prospect Slough for the evening bite and cocktail hour. Great sunset over Mt Diablo. Spent most of Sunday up on Miner Slough and beyond. Caught and released lots of catfish and small stripers, enjoyed lots good whiskey and fine cigars. All in all a great trip.....not a better way to spend a weekend that I know of.
