Hi RO's.....I missed my usual pilgrimage to the MIBS this year and by extension the usual visits to WM, BassPro, etc..etc... This is the trip when I stock up on new bits'n'pieces, toys and gadgets for the boat and camp crap for the supply box.

Will be in NYC (Cobble Hill Brooklyn) the end of the this month for a week, I see there is WM on W37th, is it a good place for a couple of hours poke around for new stuff?

Where else is a relatively close boat stuff store to poke around and spend some money? I'm a subway/train sorta guy, any place would need to be in relative easy commute.

Thanks...Stephen

It was the smallest West Marine I was ever in - although that was 22 years ago when I lived there. And I am pretty sure it is no longer open.

I’ve been there a few times. Nothing like a rural WM along the coast.

Even if it’s not closed, 20 minutes not 2 hours is all you would have needed.

I always liked City Island - not sure if there is much to do there end of February though. You can get there via subway then bus.

The good thing about the store on W37th was it was across the street from the best German food in the US. I don't know if it is still open after Covid.

I walked W37th, wasn't much there, spent more time down on John Street at Carragher's...LFC fan bar. Other than that walked 1000 miles around Cobble Hill Brooklyn.

What’s the name of the ”best” German restaurant….thanks. Ron
