Westerbeke Generator Stalling

My Geni runs perfectly until the compressor for the heat/Ac turns on. Mechanic replaced spark plugs, but no change. Any ideas of what could cause this?

Dani: Just had my 8kw diesel Westerbeke serviced today. The problem you describe is almost certain to be fuel related on a diesel. Even on a gas boat, check that first. Then check for a loose or frayed coil wire that looses voltage under load. Also, be sure that the RPM on your gen is set correctly and that the RPM increases appropriately with load.

Tom, you mean make sure the RPM's DON'T DECREASE with load. The RPM's should always be 1800 or 3600, depending on the config, regardless of the load on the unit.
