I was installing my new smart tabs today and found signs of moisture in the transom wood. Not everywhere - none of it dark (rot). Just some spots where it felt moist versus others where it was clearly dry. I am certain that there is not an active leak. It has been out of the water now for 9 months. I am a little worried that it is wet and encapsulated. Is there nothing more to do but wait for it to rot? There was no liquid to speak of.
