Fog Fog Fog

We tried to get out but we were fogged in. Went out FI inlet and hit a wall. So we decided to try the inside since at this point the tide was right. Moriches was fogged in. We got seatow to guide us threw. By now it was 630pm so we called Frank at WHB and pulled in for the night. We did not make it to Greenport and Fog is very humbling. Its amazing but it messes up your GPS. It does not work right. Even seatow had gps and radar issues.

Yup. Got down to my boat around 10:30am, loaded her up, wife shows up and the fog rolled in. Waited the whole day but it just kept coming. Never left the slip. Glad to hear you made it safely to WHB. Much worse places to end up!

what day was this, Saturday? I was fishing the ocean off Shinnecock and it was just hazy. The inlet was a bit rough on the outgoing due to the swells but passable (on my way out). Once the tide turned around it was not a problem on the way back in...pretty close with 2 different weather patterns...

Saturday. It was way more than haze. It wa FI inlet and east thru moriches. Cleared around westhampton.

Sorry to hear the fog took control. That's tough. Great idea having Sea Tow lead you.

We had the same as Perry over at Tobay. Beautiful day, very little fog that broke up quick, then haze. Late day T storm rumbled but never materialized. Beautiful sunset.

I have them but we are not back until Saturday and I don't even have the software to take them off the plotter. If your in doubt call sea tow or boat us to guide u thru. There was one spot where I could look down and see shells on the bottom. Like 2.5 ft.
