Out of work early, have the next four days off. Enjoying this gorgeous weather sitting on my boat at the marina.

Life is good...
 
Just sitting there waiting for the leaves to change color?.... :)
 
Actually, sitting here waiting for my wife to come up so we can take the Scout out for a cruise and dinner!

I despise seeing the leaves change.
 
I hate Fall also.....It looks pretty for about week......then all hell breaks loose and you have to get out the rake and climb the ladders to clean out the gutters......not to mention.....in our climates....it signals the end of the boating season..... :(

So we get up there and dock the boat. The restaurant is less than 1/2 full, we get a table outside.

The waitress takes our drink order, she brings my wife a Chardonney instead of the Pinot Grigio that she ordered, then disappears. About 15 minutes later, realizing she is nowhere to be seen, I walk the drink back to the bar. The bartender says, "I thought you'd bring it back, we didn't have Pinot, so I gave you a Chardonney". Why the hell didn't the waitress ASK if that was an acceptable substitution??

So she takes our order and disappears for 40 minutes!! I call one of the owners over to ask if our waitress still works there. She says that it is much busier than they expected.

Dinner was OK, the lobster bisque was too salty for my wife, the lobster "ravioli" is nothing like what it looks like on the web. It was two pieces of pasta with a lobster salad like sauce in between and all over.

My pork chop was good, son's burger was good.

They need to work on service, or they will be 100% empty in the near future.
 
Mike, look at the good side of it...
You did get back to the marina before the storm hit!
 
I saw the sky light up just as we finished eating, ran inside and found our waitress, told her we needed the check NOW. As soon as she gave it to me, we paid and ran for the boat. Tim drove us back at full speed!

Us too, isn't life on the water and boat great?
