I know its been said a million times already...whatever. The boat got hauled out yesterday. Had a great run from Patchogue to the Smith's Point Marina. Its amazing how differently the boat runs fully unloaded. Nonetheless I was really happy to see I had no barnacle growth. I guess several runs to Watch Hill, connetquot River and our inagural run to WHB village marina helped out with that. WHB really opened the whole families eyes to what boatoing is about, being able to go and check new stuff out. Its definately a "must do" for next season. Anyway, need to head back to the yard to give a wash and wax before the boat gets wrapped. Other than that we're good to go. Nothing crazy to do over the winter, just some preventative and normal maintenance although I'll probably find a project or two to do. Its was nice meeting some new faces this year (mintreglia) and good to see some familiar faces (Walter, Dave & Brad).

Good to meet you as well.

Another week for us before we put her away for winter. You never know what will come up but it looks like my only project will be to change out my sea stainers on the AC and Genny.

Boating is a great family event.... Don't know what I would do with out it ... Great people leads to great lifetime friends even if they move on from boating! Memories last forever !

Although I did not use the boat as much (long trips) this season. I was on the boat from thursday to sunday almost every weekend this summer. Making my boat a mobile office really helped. The Rouge WIFI WORKED GREAT !!! Having a VOIP extension and remoting into my work station was truly a great setup.

As Rob said above, lifetime of friends and memories.........great summer

This was the best season I can remember in a long time, even though we were more conservative in our trip distances. Loved the hot weather! And the weekends were perfect for boating. Brought the boat in Saturday and I'm up on the hard already, to be wrapped this week. Depressing? Yes, but with the weather turning cold, and me not being near as bold as Billy, I'm good until the Spring. Already thinking about next season! Very excited that I moved to a new yard and they appear to be fantastic!

The weather really helped to make this a great season.
I had a bit of trouble with one of my motors at the end of August, but a new set of heads and I was back up and running.
I don't get to use the boat nearly as much as I'd like to. My wife is always busy with something, and really isn't all that crazy about overnights on the boat anyway. My kids are 13 and 10, and although they love the boat, they are involved in a lot of activites that makes spending as much time on the boat as we'd like a little tough.
But we had a really great season overall, and I think this is the first weekend since Labor Day that we didn't at least take the boat out for a nice little cruise. Just too much going on this weekend.
I spoke to the guy with the crane a few days ago and he told me that he will be up my canal either later this week or early next week to start pulling boats out. I wish I could leave it in, but it doesn't make since with the cold weather coming.
I can't wait for March to get here.

Great season. I finally can say I am a "Dock Mary". Not becuase I don't want to use my boat, but I realize that the view off the back of my boat (after I cut down some scrub bush), is by far, the best anyone can ask for with a boat, other than living on the open bay! So was on boat every weekend, some, at the dock, some at Watch Hill, Atlantique, Flynns, or Hemlock cove. Definately can use a change of scenary, but had a great season. No boat issues. which is how we like it!!

I must agree. We couldn’t have ordered a better season. The weather was on our side for a change. The weekends were delightful. If the price of fuel was reasonable it would have been the best season of all seasons. We were able to enjoy our summer boating vacation. A trip in which we visited Star Island, Montauk, Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard, America Warf, Connecticut, and West Hampton Town Dock. “Priceless” is still in the water. We are trying to slightly stretch the season a little. It feels as though I lose a friend when I have her pulled. Better seasons are ahead. Have a great winter. See all of you at the Patchogue Christmas holiday season Parade? November 21, 2010?

Just spending time at the dock can be good too. I'm a short distance off of the bay and many times when I can't go out I go down and spend some time there. Sometimes I'll go down and tinker around a bit, sometimes I'll bring a book and enjoy the bay and the weather, and other times we'll all go down and have dinner on the boat.
I think I put about 60 running hours on the boat this year, but I spent many more hours than that just hanging around on my boat at the dock.
