Just as I was wondering if I would be able to still see the baot's go by on the river across the street if the new house put up a fence, I glance out and 'lo and behold, there goes a center console...!

Still will be impaired visibility if they McMansion a Ft. Apache fence on their sideyard. I wonder if there's such a thing as 'waterglimpse' listing in a real estate ad?

Jeff, check your town ordinance about fences. In Brightwaters, I believe it is a 5’ max. But if they do erect a fence, you may be able to list your property as a Waterpeek property.

Winter, not us…. At least for now. Little boats, big boats, all kinds of boats passing my marina. I love the ones with all the straw grass around it and the guys with the hunting hats flying by.

This past Friday after a card game at my club; I stayed on board, a small Caframo heater on low/med kept the cabin toasty. I walked around the docks around 1 AM and thought, am I nuts?, I am the only one here and the wife is home on a king size bed.
Nope !! it was a wonderful peaceful night. And its f*&^ January !!!

So Brad...... How do you like staying in for the winter ?.........you got a EASY first one !!!

So far it is great!! Having no water and a winterized head is a bit inconvenience on an overnight stay. The porta-pottie fits in the head compartment a bit tight but it works out ok. Having electric on is key and my cable has not been shut off, but it is a little fuzzy.

I have jugs of water for all kind of uses. Microwavable snacks, sodas, juices and all kinds of adult beverages add to the fun.

Ok Jeff, you had to Jinx us.... Ah WTF, it is winter. [:-cold]

I knew this day would come when I posted the thread-payback indeed....
